We’re here to help every Pakistani feel confident in their skin.
SkinVerse is Pakistan’s leading science-backed skincare blog and online store, built and run by qualified researchers with advanced degrees in pharmaceutical sciences and molecular biology. Under the expert direction of a Pharm-D and PhD-qualified skincare scientist based in Lahore, we cut through the noise to bring you honest skincare routines, unbiased product reviews, and ingredient education designed specifically for Pakistani skin — the skin tones, the climate, and the concerns that most global skincare advice simply ignores. Our team is dedicated to one thing: helping you find what actually works for your skin, backed by science you can trust.
Our Story
A Decade of Doing the Science Properly
skinverse.pk – Where Skin Science Meets Real Pakistani Skin
SkinVerse is Lahore’s independent skincare guide – built by researchers who got tired of advice that doesn’t account for our climate, our skin tones, or our reality.
Type III–V focus — real desi skin
Science-backed, not sponsored opinions
Based in Pakistan, written for Pakistan
We Built the Resource We Wished Had Existed
Most skincare content you find online was created for someone else — someone in a different climate, with different skin, buying from different shelves. Pakistani skin faces a unique intersection of challenges: intense UV radiation, high ambient humidity, dust and pollution across cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, and melanin-rich tones that respond differently to ingredients like retinol, acids, and brightening actives.
We spent years reading peer-reviewed journals on melanogenesis, barrier biology, and oxidative stress — and then looking at the skincare advice being given to Pakistani women and men, and noticing how wide that gap was. The advice didn’t match the science. The products being recommended weren’t designed for Fitzpatrick Type III–V skin. The routines ignored our weather.
SkinVerse was built to close that gap — with honest reviews, evidence-based routines, and ingredient education that actually applies to the skin most Pakistanis are living in.
“Good skincare doesn’t start with a product. It starts with understanding your skin — its tone, its climate, its biology.”
— The Skinverse Team, Lahore
Our promise
Four Things We Will Always Give You
Every article, review, and routine on Skinverse is held to the same standard — because your skin deserves accuracy, not guesswork.
Science first, always
Every claim we make is grounded in published research from peer-reviewed dermatology and pharmacology journals. We cite our sources so you can verify them yourself.
No paid reviews
We do not accept payment for positive coverage. When we recommend a product, it is because we have evaluated it against our standards for Pakistani skin — not because a brand paid us.
Pakistani skin context
Every routine and review is evaluated through the lens of our climate, our UV index, and our melanin levels. What works in Seoul or Los Angeles does not automatically work in Lahore.
Full ingredient transparency
We explain what is actually in the products we review — the actives, the concentrations where known, and any ingredients that may be problematic for sensitive or reactive Pakistani skin.
Expertise
The Qualifications Behind Our Advice
Skinverse content is produced and reviewed by professionals with formal academic training in pharmaceutical and biological sciences. This is not a passion project run by skincare enthusiasts — it is a research-led publication backed by real credentials.
Pharmaceutical sciences
Our content team holds Pharm-D qualifications with specialisation in clinical pharmacology and active ingredient science.
Molecular biology research
Our lead researcher holds a PhD in Molecular Biology with 9 published papers in peer-reviewed journals, specialising in melanogenesis, UV biology, and active ingredient science for South Asian skin.
Formulation expertise
We evaluate products at the formulation level — ingredient interactions, pH dependencies, vehicle compatibility, and stability — not just surface-level claims.
Based in Lahore, Punjab
Our team lives in the same climate you do. We understand Pakistan’s heat, humidity, pollution load, and seasonal skin behaviour from direct, daily experience.
Editorial process
How Every Review is Produced
Our review process follows the same rigour we apply to our own formulation work. A product passes through five evaluation stages before we publish anything about it.
Step by step process
